There's hardly anyone on this planet who hasn't heard of the Italian plumber in the jumpsuit named Mario. Those who have never played the game may not know about his humble beginnings, but they've heard of him in some form or another.
Mario wasn't even the main character when he first appeared in video games. Most importantly, he wasn't even a plumber, and he wasn't called Mario. He first appeared in 1981 in a pioneering arcade game called Donkey Kong. The character was called... Jumpman and he is a Carpenter .

gameplay
In the game, players take on the role of Mario and must journey through the Mushroom Kingdom. Players must survive the evil forces of the game's villain, Bowser, and rescue Princess Toadstool. To win the game, Mario must... reach the flagpole at the end of each level.
There are coins scattered throughout the game that need to be collected. There are also... special bricks with question marks More money and other special items are revealed after hitting the target. You must break other bricks if you have enough time, as they may contain rare items or coins.
Eating a mushroom will transform normal Marion into Super Mario, meaning he doubles in size and gains the ability to break bricks above him. Be careful, because when he gets hit in this mode, he will revert to his original human form, but he won't die.
